Getting There

• Car

  From Moab, head south on US-191 for about 12 miles. Turn left onto Dead Horse Point Road (look for signs for Dead Horse Point State Park). Drive approximately 5 miles on Dead Horse Point Road, following the signs to the park entrance. There is an entrance fee of $20 for vehicles, which is valid for a day. After entering the park, continue driving until you reach the Dead Horse Point overlook and parking area.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the Moab Area Transit (MAT) service which has limited routes. You will need to check their schedule for the nearest stop to your current location, as it may not go directly to Dead Horse Point. The closest stop is likely at the Moab City Center. From there, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Dead Horse Point, as the park is about 17 miles from Moab city center and public transit does not provide direct access to the park.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking from Moab to Dead Horse Point is an option. Start from Moab, heading south on US-191 for about 12 miles. At the intersection with Dead Horse Point Road, turn left and continue for approximately 5 miles to reach the park entrance. Ensure that you are prepared for a strenuous ride, as the route has some elevation changes. Remember to bring plenty of water and check local bike rental shops if you need a bicycle.
