Car
If you are driving from Moab, take US-191 South for about 12 miles. Then, turn left onto UT-313 West. Continue on UT-313 for approximately 5 miles until you reach the entrance to Canyonlands National Park. There is a fee of $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass to enter the park. Once inside, follow the park road until you reach the end at Island in the Sky. From the parking area, look for the trailhead that leads to Faux Falls.
Public Transportation
Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly to Canyonlands National Park. You can take the Moab Express shuttle from Moab to the park entrance, which costs around $15 per person. Upon reaching the entrance, you will still need to use the park's shuttle system or walk to reach the Faux Falls trailhead. The shuttle may not run frequently, so it's advisable to check the schedule in advance.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the trailhead near Faux Falls, the hike is relatively easy. The trail is well-marked and takes you through scenic views of the canyon. Follow the signs for Faux Falls, and be prepared for some rocky terrain towards the falls. The total hike is about 1 mile one way, so plan for a round trip of about 2 miles. Make sure to wear suitable hiking shoes and carry enough water.
