Car
If you are driving, start from the Capitol Reef National Park Visitor Center, located at 15 miles south of Torrey on Highway 24. Head east on UT-24 for about 5 miles. Look for the parking area on the right side of the road, just after the Fruita Campground. This parking area provides access to the Petroglyphs Panels, which are located a short walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
While public transportation options are limited in the area, you can check with local shuttle services that may operate between Torrey and Capitol Reef National Park. If you can reach the Visitor Center by shuttle, follow the same directions as those driving: head east on UT-24 for about 5 miles after leaving the Visitor Center. Once you arrive at the designated parking area, it’s a short walk to the Petroglyphs Panels.
Walking
From the parking area, follow the established trail that leads to the Petroglyphs Panels. The walk is approximately 0.5 miles and takes you through beautiful desert scenery. Be sure to stay on the marked path to protect the surroundings and enjoy your hike!
