From the nearest major town, St. George, UT, take I-15 N toward Salt Lake City. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 16 for UT-9 E toward Hurricane/Zion National Park. Continue on UT-9 E for about 22 miles until you reach the town of Hurricane. Then, turn onto SR-59 N and follow it until it merges into SR-18 N. Continue on SR-18 N until you reach Leeds. In Leeds, turn onto Creek Kiln Trail, which is marked. Follow Creek Kiln Trail for about 2 miles until you reach the parking area for The Kiln. The road may be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously.
Public Transportation
If traveling via public transportation, first take a Greyhound or other bus service to St. George, UT. From St. George, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service (such as Uber) to take you to Leeds, as public transport options to Leeds are limited. Once in Leeds, follow the directions for car travel to reach The Kiln via Creek Kiln Trail. Be prepared for taxi or rideshare costs, which can vary, but typically range from $30 to $60.
Hiking
For those already in the area and wanting to hike, starting from the nearest trailhead located off Creek Kiln Trail is possible. This trailhead can be accessed by parking at the designated parking area near Leeds. From there, follow the marked Creek Kiln Trail (#31035) for approximately 1.5 miles to reach The Kiln. Ensure to carry sufficient water, wear proper hiking boots, and check the weather conditions before embarking on your hike.
