From the nearest major town, Cedar City, take US-89 S from Cedar City. Continue on US-89 S for about 27 miles. Then, merge onto UT-143 E towards Brian Head. Follow UT-143 for approximately 16 miles until you reach the Brian Head area. Turn onto Chessman Ridge Road, and follow it for about 1.5 miles until you arrive at the Chessman Ridge Overlook.
