From Dixie, head east on Main Street towards the I-15 N entrance ramp. Merge onto I-15 N and continue for about 30 miles. Take exit 59 for UT-14 E towards Cedar City. Continue on UT-14 E for approximately 22 miles. You will see signs for Dixie National Forest. Turn left onto Forest Road 300 (Navajo Lake Road) to enter the forest. The visitor center is located at 820 N Main St, Cedar City, UT 84721.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Greyhound bus from Dixie to Cedar City. The bus station is located at 100 N Main St, Dixie. Once you arrive at Cedar City, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Dixie National Forest visitor center at 820 N Main St, Cedar City, UT 84721. Be aware that taxi fares may vary, so it’s best to check beforehand.
Bicycle
For adventurous cyclists, you can bike from Dixie to Dixie National Forest. Start by heading east on Main Street, then connect to UT-14 E. The total distance is approximately 40 miles, so ensure you're prepared with water and snacks. Follow the same signs for Dixie National Forest once you get closer to Cedar City.
Walking
Walking to Dixie National Forest is not practical due to the distance (approximately 40 miles). However, if you're already in Cedar City, you can walk to the visitor center located at 820 N Main St, Cedar City, UT 84721 and from there, consider joining a guided tour or renting a bike to explore the forest.
