Getting There

  • Car

    From Dixie, head north on UT-18. Continue on UT-18 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with US-89. Turn right onto US-89 South and follow the road for about 60 miles. Look for signs directing you to UT-12 East towards Bryce Canyon City. After about 15 miles on UT-12, you will see signs for Bryce Canyon National Park. Turn left onto UT-63, and follow it directly to the Bryce Canyon National Park Visitor Center located at UT-63, Bryce Canyon City, UT 84764. The drive takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on traffic. Note that there is an entrance fee to the park: $35 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.

    If you are using public transportation, you will first need to get to the nearest major city with service to Bryce Canyon National Park. From Dixie, take a local shuttle or taxi to St. George, UT, which is approximately 30 miles away. From St. George, you can catch a Greyhound bus to Bryce Canyon City, though schedules may vary. Upon arrival in Bryce Canyon City, the Visitor Center is a short walk from the bus stop. It is highly recommended to check the Greyhound schedule in advance as service may not be frequent. Additionally, you may need to budget for taxi fares to and from the bus station.
