Start at the Escalante Visitor Center located at 755 W Main St, Escalante, UT 84726. From the visitor center, head west on Main Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach the junction with UT-12. Continue walking straight onto UT-12, heading south. After walking for approximately 1.5 miles, you will see a sign for the Covered Wagon Bridge on your left. Follow the sign which will lead you onto a trail that descends toward the bridge. The walk may take around 30 minutes, and be cautious as the terrain can be steep in places.

If you're renting a bike in Escalante, start at the Escalante Bicycle Rental located at 123 W Main St. From the rental shop, head west on Main Street for about 0.3 miles to reach UT-12. Turn left (south) onto UT-12 and bike for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the Covered Wagon Bridge sign on your left. There’s a bike-friendly trail that leads to the bridge, and the total biking distance is about 2 miles round trip, which should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
