Car
If you're driving from the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center, head east on UT-12 E for approximately 23 miles. When you reach the intersection with US-89, turn left (north) and continue for about 28 miles. You'll then take the exit towards Escalante (UT-12). Follow the signs for Escalante, and keep an eye out for the Head of the Rocks Overlook which will be on your left after about 10 miles on UT-12. There is a parking area available at the overlook.

Public transportation options are limited in this remote area. However, you could take a bus from Bryce Canyon to the town of Escalante. Once in Escalante, you might have to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Head of the Rocks Overlook, which is about 10 miles outside of town on UT-12. Be sure to check local bus schedules in advance for availability and times, as they can vary.

For those feeling adventurous, biking from Bryce Canyon is an option. Take UT-12 E, which will lead you to the Head of the Rocks Overlook.
