If you are starting from the center of Escalante, head south on Main Street. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 12. Turn left onto Highway 12 and continue for approximately 1 mile. You will see a sign for the Escalante River Trailhead on your right. Follow the short path to the parking lot where the trailhead begins.

From the center of Escalante, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Start by heading south on Main Street for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Highway 12. Continue along the highway for about 1 mile. You will see the sign for Escalante River Trailhead on your right. There is a bike rack available at the parking lot where the trailhead is located.
