From the center of Escalante, head south on Highway 12. Walk along the shoulder, keeping an eye out for traffic. After about 1.5 miles, you will reach the entrance to the Hickman Natural Bridge Trailhead on your left. There is a sign marking the entrance. This area is well-marked and will lead you to the trail.

If you have a bicycle, you can ride along Highway 12 from Escalante. Start at the Escalante Visitor Center and ride south on Highway 12 for approximately 1.5 miles.
