Walking
From the center of Escalante, start at the Escalante Interagency Visitor Center located at 755 W Main St. Head west on Main St towards the intersection with Highway 12. Turn left onto Highway 12 and walk south for about 0.5 miles. You will see the Hole-in-the-Rock Trailhead on your right. The trailhead is marked with a sign, and you will find a parking area if you need to rest before starting your hike.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Escalante. Start at the shop and head west on Main St until you reach Highway 12. Turn left onto Highway 12 and continue biking south for approximately 0.5 miles. The Hole-in-the-Rock Trailhead will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules while riding.
