Walking
Start at the Escalante Visitor Center located at 755 West Main Street. Head west on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Highway 12. Cross the highway and continue on the dirt path that leads to the Escalante River. Follow this path south along the riverbank for approximately 2 miles. You will encounter some rocky areas, so wear sturdy shoes. After about 2 miles, you will see signs indicating the Zebra & Tunnel Trailhead to your right. Follow the signs until you reach the trailhead.
Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Escalante Visitor Center on 755 West Main Street. Ride west on Main Street until it intersects with Highway 12. Carefully cross the highway, then take the dirt road that leads towards the Escalante River. Continue biking south along the riverbank for approximately 2 miles, where you will see signs for the Zebra & Tunnel Trailhead on your right. The trailhead is well-marked, and you can park your bike there before starting your hike.
