Starting from the center of Escalante, head east on Main Street toward UT-12. Continue walking along Main Street until you reach the junction with UT-12. Turn left onto UT-12 and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will see a sign for the Box-Death Hollow Wilderness area on your right. This is the main access point to the wilderness. Follow the path leading into the wilderness area.

Once you arrive at the Box-Death Hollow Wilderness access point, you can start your hike into the wilderness. Follow the trail markers that guide you deeper into the canyon.
