If you're driving from the central area of Great Basin National Park, head north on US-93 toward Ely. After about 20 miles, take a right onto UT-21 towards Delta. Continue on UT-21 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-6. Merge onto US-6 West and continue for about 60 miles. Take the exit toward Midway, and follow signs to Homestead Dr. Turn left onto Homestead Dr, and you will find Homestead Crater at 700 North Homestead Dr, Midway, UT 84049.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to the nearest town, Heber City. From Heber City, you can hire a taxi or use a rideshare service to reach Homestead Crater, which is approximately 20 minutes away. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance for the best timing.
Rideshare
If you prefer not to drive, consider using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to Homestead Crater by entering the address: 700 North Homestead Dr, Midway, UT 84049. Bicycle
For the more adventurous traveler, biking to Homestead Crater from nearby locations is an option, although it requires a good level of fitness. If you're in Heber City, take Main St north out of town, which eventually becomes East 1200 South. Continue on this road until you reach Homestead Dr. Turn right, and you’ll arrive at Homestead Crater. The total distance is about 10 miles and can take approximately 1 hour depending on your pace.
