Start at the Kanab Visitor Center located at 745 E State St, Kanab, UT 84741. From the Visitor Center, head east on State Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-89. Turn left onto US-89 and walk north for approximately 1 mile. You will see signs for the Kayenta Trail on your left. Continue walking until you reach the trailhead, which is easily identifiable.
