Getting There

• Bicycle

  From central Moab, start at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street. Head east on Center Street until you reach US-191. Turn left onto US-191 and continue north for about 2.5 miles. Look for the sign for UT-313 and turn right. Continue on UT-313 for approximately 12 miles. Follow the signs for Dead Horse Point State Park. The entrance to the park will be on your right.

  Check the Moab Transit website for the current bus schedule. Take the 'Canyonlands Shuttle' from the Moab City Center. The bus will take you to the entrance of Dead Horse Point State Park. Be sure to check the timetable for return trips, as service may be limited, especially during off-peak seasons.

• Walking

  Walking to Dead Horse Point State Park from Moab is quite a trek, approximately 14 miles one way. Start at the Moab Visitor Center. Head northwest on US-191 until you reach the junction with UT-313. Turn right onto UT-313 and follow it for about 12 miles. Be cautious as there are no sidewalks, and parts of the route may not have shoulders. This method is best for experienced hikers who are prepared for a long journey.
