    From the center of Mt. Carmel, head south on US-89 towards Kanab. Continue walking along the shoulder of the road for about 5 miles. Be sure to walk facing oncoming traffic for safety. As you approach Kanab, you will see the Kanab Visitor Center located on the right side of the road at 745 US-89. The building is easily recognizable with signage in front. The total walking distance is approximately 5 miles, which should take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.

    If you have a bicycle, you can ride along US-89 from Mt. Carmel to Kanab. Start by heading south on US-89 and cycle along the road, which has a bike lane.
