Getting There

Walking
From the center of Mt. Carmel, head east on US-89 South. Continue for about 3 miles until you reach the junction with UT-9. Turn left onto UT-9 and follow the signs toward Zion National Park. After approximately 5 miles, you will notice signs for Ponderosa Canyon. At this point, you will need to walk along the designated trailhead that leads into the canyon. The trailhead is located near the entrance to the canyon, and you can follow the marked signs to guide you through the beautiful terrain.

Starting from the center of Mt. Carmel, rent a bike and head east on US-89 South. After about 3 miles, turn left onto UT-9. Continue for roughly 5 miles until you see the signs for Ponderosa Canyon.
