Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Mt. Carmel, head south on Main Street. Continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Highway 89. Turn left onto Highway 89 and continue walking for approximately 5 miles. This will lead you to the entrance of Zion National Park. Please note that the Temple of Sinawava is located within the park, and you will need to pay an entrance fee to access it. Once inside the park, follow the signs for Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. The Temple of Sinawava is the last stop on this scenic drive, approximately 8 miles from the park entrance. There are shuttle services available within the park, which you may also use if you prefer not to walk the entire distance.

  • Biking

    If you have a bicycle, from the center of Mt. Carmel, head south on Main Street, continuing for about 1 mile until you reach Highway 89. Turn left onto Highway 89 and bike south for approximately 5 miles to reach the entrance of Zion National Park. After entering the park, bike along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, which is approximately 8 miles long. The Temple of Sinawava is located at the end of this scenic route. Be aware of traffic and park rules while biking.

  • Public Transport

    Currently, there is no direct public transportation from Mt. Carmel to Temple of Sinawava. However, you can take a shuttle service that operates from nearby towns like Springdale, which is approximately 15 miles from Mt. Carmel. To get to Springdale, you can walk or bike to Highway 89 and then catch a local bus or shuttle service. Once in Springdale, you can pick up the Zion Shuttle which operates in the park and will take you directly to the Temple of Sinawava.
