Getting There

Walking
From the center of Mt Carmel, head south on Main Street towards the intersection with State Route 9. At the intersection, turn left onto State Route 9. Continue walking on the sidewalk along State Route 9 for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance to the Zion National Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, look for the signs directing you to the Yovimpa Point viewpoint. Follow the well-marked trails within the park that lead you to Yovimpa Point, which is approximately a 1-mile hike from the visitor center.

If you have access to a bicycle, begin at the center of Mt Carmel and ride south on Main Street. When you reach the intersection with State Route 9, turn left onto State Route 9. Cycle along State Route 9 for approximately 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Zion National Park. Once at the park entrance, follow the signs for Yovimpa Point. The biking trail will lead you through beautiful scenery and the ride to the viewpoint is about a mile from the visitor center.
