From the center of Mt. Carmel, start at the Mt. Carmel Visitor Center. Head south on Highway 89 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the junction with Zion-Mount Carmel Highway (UT-9). Turn left onto UT-9 and proceed for approximately 6 miles. You will eventually enter Zion National Park. Look for the sign indicating the trailhead for The Great Arch. Park your bike or secure your belongings at the designated area. The hike to The Great Arch is about 1.5 miles one way, and the trail is moderately difficult, so ensure you have enough water and wear sturdy shoes.

Begin at the Mt. Carmel Post Office and bike south on Highway 89 for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Zion-Mount Carmel Highway (UT-9) and continue for about 6 miles. The Great Arch is located about 1.5 miles from the parking area, and the trail offers stunning views but can be steep in sections.
