Start at the center of Panguitch, near the intersection of Main Street and Center Street. Head south on Main Street until you reach the intersection with 100 South. Turn left onto 100 South and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. This road will lead you to the edge of Dixie National Forest. Follow the dirt path that leads into the forest, keeping an eye out for signs directing you towards Casto Canyon Trailhead. The trailhead is approximately 4 miles from the city center, so be prepared for a longer walk. Make sure to carry water and essentials for the hike.

Begin your journey at the Panguitch City Park. From the park, ride east on Center Street until you reach Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and head south until you reach 100 South. Turn left and continue on 100 South until it ends. From there, you will find a dirt road leading into Dixie National Forest. Follow this road for about 4 miles, and keep an eye out for the Casto Canyon Trailhead signs along the way. This route is suitable for mountain bikes, so ensure your bike is equipped for off-road conditions.
