Walking
Start at the center of Panguitch at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street. Head south on Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach Highway 89. Cross the highway and continue straight for another 0.2 miles. You will see signs directing you to Kanab. Follow the signs as you walk along the side of Highway 89, which will lead you toward Kanab. After approximately 3 miles, you will arrive in Kanab. Ponderosa Canyon is located on the outskirts of Kanab. Look for a trailhead sign indicating Ponderosa Canyon, and follow the signs into the canyon.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start at the Panguitch City Park located at 200 North 100 East. Head south on 100 East, then turn left onto Main Street. Continue south on Main Street until you reach Highway 89. Turn right onto Highway 89 and bike south for about 3 miles. Watch for signs to Kanab, and as you enter the town, keep an eye out for the trail markers leading to Ponderosa Canyon. The biking route provides a scenic view of the countryside.
Public Transport
Currently, there are limited public transport options directly from Panguitch to Kanab. However, you can check for shuttle services or local tour operators that offer rides to popular attractions in the area. If available, book a ride to Kanab, and ask the driver to drop you off at the Ponderosa Canyon trailhead. If no shuttle service is available, consider joining a local tour group that might include Ponderosa Canyon in their itinerary.
