Start from the center of Panguitch at Main Street. Head east on Main Street until you reach the intersection with State Route 12 (UT-12). Turn left onto UT-12 and continue walking along the road. After about 1.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Dixie National Forest on your left, marked by a sign. The Red Canyon Trailhead is located approximately 0.5 miles down this road. Look for parking areas and restrooms available at the trailhead.

If you have a bike, begin at the Panguitch City Park located at 100 E Center St. From the park, head east on Center Street which turns into UT-12. Continue biking for about 2 miles, and you will reach the entrance to Dixie National Forest on your left. The Red Canyon Trailhead is another 0.5 miles down the road.
