Walking
If you are starting from the Salt Lake City Public Library located at 210 E 400 S, walk east on 400 S for about 0.5 miles until you reach State St. Turn left (north) on State St and walk for about 0.3 miles. Turn right onto 300 S and continue for another 0.2 miles. The Site of Completion of Overland Telegraph Line will be on your right in the vicinity of the intersection with Main St. Look for the historic marker.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From the Salt Lake City Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop at 400 S / Main St. Take the UTA Bus Route 2 towards the University of Utah. After about 5 stops, get off at the 300 S / Main St stop. Walk east on 300 S for a short distance, and you will reach the Site of Completion of Overland Telegraph Line located near the intersection with Main St.

From the Salt Lake City Public Library, walk to the City Center TRAX Station located at 200 S Main St. Board the Blue Line heading towards the University of Utah. After 2 stops, get off at the 300 S / Main St Station. Walk east on 300 S for about 2 blocks, and you will arrive at the Site of Completion of Overland Telegraph Line.
