If you're starting from the main visitor center in San Rafael Swell, head south on UT-24 for approximately 20 miles. Watch for the signs directing you toward the San Rafael Swell area. After about 20 miles, turn left onto the dirt road leading to Moonshine Wash, which is located at coordinates 38.7461° N, 110.1446° W. The road can be rough, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Follow this dirt road for about 5 miles until you reach Moonshine Wash.
