Car
Start from the Snowbird resort area. Head east on Little Cottonwood Canyon Road (UT-210) for about 3.5 miles. You will see signs for Cecret Lake and Alta Ski Area. Turn right onto the road leading to the Alta Ski Area. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach the Cecret Lake Trailhead parking area. Note that parking may be limited during peak seasons, and there may be a parking fee of around $5-$10.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the UTA ski bus from the Snowbird resort. Look for the UTA Ski Bus Route 962. Ride the bus towards Alta Ski Area. Get off at the Alta Ski Area stop, which is a short walk from the Cecret Lake Trailhead. Please check the UTA website for the current schedule and fare information, as costs may vary.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Cecret Lake Trailhead parking area, the trailhead is clearly marked. The Cecret Lake Trail is a short 1-mile hike with a moderate incline. Follow the well-marked trail to enjoy beautiful scenery and keep an eye out for wildlife. Remember to bring water and wear appropriate hiking shoes.
