Getting There

  • Car

    From Solitude Mountain Resort, head southeast on Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd toward UT-190 E. Continue on Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with UT-190. Merge onto UT-190 E and follow the signs for Salt Lake City. After about 5 miles, take the exit toward 1300 E/900 S. Turn left onto 1300 E and continue for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto S Temple St, then turn left onto N W Temple St. The FamilySearch Center will be on your left at 35 N W Temple St.

  • Public Transportation

    From Solitude Mountain Resort, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the base of the resort. Take the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus route 972 toward the Salt Lake City Central Station. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes, then transfer to the TRAX light rail at the Central Station. Board the Blue Line toward the University Medical Center and ride for 6 stops. Get off at the Temple Square station. From there, walk north on N W Temple St for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the FamilySearch Center located at 35 N W Temple St.
