Getting There

Car
Start from the Solitude Mountain Resort parking area. Head southeast on Solitude Trail towards the main entrance of the resort. Turn left onto Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (UT-190 E). Continue for approximately 6.5 miles. You will pass the entrance to the Brighton Ski Resort and several scenic viewpoints along the way. Look for the Twin Peaks Wilderness area signs on your right. You can park at the designated parking areas near the trailheads.

Public Transportation
From Solitude Mountain Resort, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the resort entrance. Take the UTA Route 972 (Ski Bus) heading towards Brighton. This service operates during ski season and may require a fare, typically around $2.50 per ride. Get off at the Brighton ski area stop and transfer to the UTA Route 946 to get to the trailhead for Twin Peaks Wilderness. Be sure to check the UTA website for the latest schedules and any service changes.

Hiking
Once you have parked at the Twin Peaks Wilderness trailhead, follow the marked trail. The hike is known to be challenging, with the last two miles gaining approximately 3000 feet in elevation.
