Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading north on S Bluff St from downtown St. George. Continue on S Bluff St for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Snow Canyon Dr. Turn right onto Snow Canyon Dr and continue for approximately 4 miles. You will reach the Pioneer Names area, which is located off Snow Canyon Dr. Look for parking areas along the road, as this is a popular hiking and sightseeing spot.

• Public Transportation

  Using public transportation, take the St. George City bus route that goes toward Snow Canyon. You can check the local transit schedule for the nearest stop to your accommodation. Board the bus and travel toward the Snow Canyon stop. Once you arrive at the stop, walk along Snow Canyon Dr for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Pioneer Names area. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times to avoid long waits.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in St. George. Start from downtown St. George and head north on S Bluff St. Continue on S Bluff St and turn right onto Snow Canyon Dr. The ride is about 6 miles one way and offers beautiful views. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay on designated bike paths where available. There are also areas to lock your bike once you arrive at Pioneer Names.

• Walking

  If you are staying close enough to Snow Canyon Dr, you can walk to Pioneer Names. From downtown St. George, walk north on S Bluff St, then turn right onto Snow Canyon Dr. It is about a 6-mile walk, which will take approximately 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the area can be hot and sunny.
