Getting There

  • Car

    From downtown St. George, head north on Main Street toward E 100 N. Continue straight onto N 100 E. Turn left onto E 700 N, which will become N 1200 W. Follow N 1200 W until you reach the intersection with W 5600 N. Turn right onto W 5600 N and continue straight. Look for signs directing you to Scout Cave, which is located at 5605 N 1180 W, St. George, UT 84770. There is ample parking available near the trailhead.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the SunTran bus route that services St. George. You may need to transfer to a route that goes toward the northern part of the city. Get off at the nearest stop to 5600 N and 1200 W. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the trailhead for Scout Cave. Make sure to check the current SunTran schedule for bus times and any transfer requirements. Note that public transportation may not run frequently, so plan accordingly.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the vicinity of Scout Cave, and feel adventurous, you can walk from nearby areas. If starting from a location like Snow Canyon State Park, head north on the scenic road until you reach N 1180 W. Turn left and follow the road until you see the entrance to Scout Cave on your right.
