Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, enter the coordinates 40.271707, -111.616270 into your GPS or mapping application. From any location within Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, make your way to the nearest major road that connects to US-189. Travel south on US-189 towards Provo. After approximately 25 miles, take the exit for Provo Canyon. Follow the road as it winds through the canyon, and then turn onto State Route 92 towards Mount Timpanogos. Continue until you reach the trailhead parking area for Kyhv Peak, which is near the coordinates provided.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you will need to first get to Provo. You can take a bus or train to the Provo Transit Center. From the Transit Center, you can catch a local bus (UTA Route 855) that goes towards Provo Canyon. Get off at the stop near the trailhead for Kyhv Peak (you may need to check the schedule for specific times). Be aware that public transportation may not run frequently, so plan your trip accordingly. Ensure you have enough time to hike back before the last bus return.

• Hiking
