Car
If you're driving, start from the nearest major road, Highway 6. Head west towards the West Desert area. Once you reach the junction with Utah State Route 73, turn right onto UT-73. Continue on UT-73 until you reach the intersection with US-89. Turn left onto US-89 and follow it until you reach the city of Delta. From Delta, take UT-257 towards the Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge. Keep driving for about 30 miles until you see signs for Hermit’s Cabin. The cabin is located at latitude 39.2477 and longitude -113.4036. Look for a small dirt road leading to the cabin from the main road. Be cautious as the last few miles may be unpaved.
Public Transportation + Hiking
If you're relying on public transportation, take a bus to Delta, Utah. From Delta, you will need to arrange for a rideshare or taxi service to cover the remaining distance to Hermit’s Cabin, as public transport does not directly reach this location. Once you are dropped off at the nearest point to the cabin, you may have to hike the last stretch. Be prepared for a rugged terrain; sturdy footwear is recommended. The cabin is approximately 2 miles from the nearest road access point, and it may require some navigation to find the dirt path leading to Hermit’s Cabin.
