Getting There

Car
From the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, head south on Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. After approximately 12 miles, take a left onto East Zion Road and continue for about 6 miles. Turn right onto Highway 9 and follow it for another 7 miles. Look for signs indicating the Castle Dome Trailhead, which will be on your left. Park in the designated area. There is no fee for parking, but remember that Zion National Park requires an entrance fee, which is $35 per vehicle.

Public Transportation
Use the Zion Shuttle Service, which operates from March to late November. Board the shuttle at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and take it to the Temple of Sinawava stop. From there, you can hike the Riverside Walk to connect to the East Rim Trail, which leads towards Castle Dome. The shuttle is free with a valid park entrance fee, which is $35 per vehicle. Note that the hike from Temple of Sinawava to Castle Dome is strenuous and may take several hours.

If you are already in the park and wish to hike to Castle Dome, you can start from the East Rim Trail. Begin your hike at the East Rim Trailhead, accessible via a short drive from the visitor center. Follow the trail, keeping an eye out for signs that direct you toward Castle Dome. The total round trip is approximately 8 miles and can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours, depending on your pace.
