Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Chimgan village. Head east on the main road towards the mountains. Follow the road signs that direct you to the Kumbel' area. You will pass by several small guesthouses and local shops. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork, which leads you directly towards Kumbel'. Continue on this road for another 10 minutes until you see a sign for Kumbel' on your right. Park your car in the designated area.
Public Transportation
To reach Kumbel' via public transportation, start by taking a minibus (marshrutka) from Tashkent to Chimgan. The marshrutka departs from the Tashkent Bus Station (Tashkent Avtovokzali). The fare is around 10,000 UZS and the journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Chimgan, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Kumbel'. If walking, follow the main road east towards the mountains for about 30 minutes. Alternatively, negotiate a taxi fare (approximately 20,000-30,000 UZS) to take you directly to Kumbel'.
Hiking
For those interested in hiking, after reaching Chimgan, you can take a hiking trail that leads to Kumbel'. Start near the main square in Chimgan and head towards the trailhead located near the local park. The hike is moderate and takes about 1.5-2 hours. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains along the way.
