Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, you can take the Tashkent to Chimgan route via the M-39 highway. From Tashkent, head east on the M-39 for approximately 80 km. After passing through the town of Yangiyul, follow the signs for Chimgan and take a left turn onto the local road leading into the mountains. The total drive time from Tashkent to Chimgan is around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as the roads can be winding and steep as you approach the mountains.

Public Transportation

To reach Chimgan via public transportation, start by taking a minibus (marshrutka) from Tashkent to the town of Yangiyul. You can catch a marshrutka from the Tashkent Central Bus Station (near the Mustaqillik Maydoni metro station). The fare is approximately 10,000 UZS (about $1) and the journey takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Yangiyul, you will need to transfer to another marshrutka heading directly to Chimgan. Be sure to check the schedule, as they may not run frequently. The fare for this leg is also around 10,000 UZS, with a travel time of about 30 minutes.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route and convenience, you can hire a taxi from Tashkent to Chimgan. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 UZS (approximately $15 to $25) depending on your negotiation skills and the time of day. The taxi ride will take around 1.5 hours, and the driver will take you directly to your desired location in Chimgan.
