    If you are starting from the Khiva city center (for example, near the main square), head southwest towards the main entrance of Itchan Kala, which is the old walled city. Walk along Islom Hoja Street, which will lead you right into the vicinity of Itchan Kala. As you walk, you will see the massive city walls and several historical buildings. Continue walking until you reach the main entrance, the Ata-Darvaaza Gate.

    From the Khiva Train Station, exit the station and walk east along the main road. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach the outskirts of Itchan Kala. Continue straight, and you will see the impressive city walls ahead. Follow the path leading to the Ata-Darvaaza Gate, which will be your entrance into Itchan Kala.

    If you are at the Khiva Bus Station, exit and head north onto Bukhara Street. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Islom Hoja Street. Turn left onto Islom Hoja Street, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Itchan Kala at the Ata-Darvaaza Gate.
