If you're renting a car in Aore Island, start by heading towards the main road that connects Aore Island to Espíritu Santo. Follow the signs towards Luganville. Once you reach the junction at Luganville, continue straight on the main road. After about 15 minutes of driving, look for a sign directing you to Riri Blue Hole, which will be on your left. There is a parking area available near the entrance. The drive takes approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation (Taxi)
To reach Riri Blue Hole via taxi, find a taxi service in Aore Island. Inform the driver that you want to go to Riri Blue Hole near Luganville. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting the trip. The cost can vary but expect to pay around 3,000-5,000 Vanuatu Vatu (VUV) for a one-way trip. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer taking a bus, head to the nearest bus stop in Aore Island. Look for a bus heading towards Luganville. Once on the bus, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Riri Blue Hole, usually at the main road junction. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the entrance. The bus fare is typically around 200 VUV, and the bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Be aware of the bus schedule as they may not run frequently.
