To reach Lapita Beach Aore Island, start your journey from Luganville, the main town in Espiritu Santo. Rent a car from one of the local rental agencies in Luganville. Drive along the Main Street towards the Aore Island ferry terminal, following signs for 'Aore Island.' This drive typically takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, you will need to pay a small fee (approximately 200 Vatu) to board the ferry that takes you across to Aore Island.
Public Transportation
If you prefer not to drive, you can take a public bus from Luganville to the Aore Island ferry terminal. Buses leave regularly from Luganville's main transport hub, located near the market. The fare is usually around 100 Vatu. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Aore Island, which costs about 200 Vatu. The ferry ride takes around 10-15 minutes.
Ferry
Upon boarding the ferry at the terminal, enjoy the scenic ride across the water. Keep an eye out for the beautiful views of the surrounding islands. The ferry operates on a regular schedule, but it's advisable to check the timings upon arrival at the terminal. Once you arrive at Aore Island, you can either walk to Lapita Beach (if you have light luggage) or use a local taxi to reach the beach.

If you would rather avoid walking, taxis are available on Aore Island. After arriving on the island, you can find a taxi at the ferry terminal. Negotiate the fare before getting in, which should be around 500-700 Vatu to reach Lapita Beach. The journey is short, taking approximately 10 minutes.
