Car
If you are driving, start from the capital of Shefa Province, Port Vila. Take the ring road out of Port Vila towards the east. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the junction at the village of Erakor. Turn left onto the road that leads to the village of Manga'asi. Continue driving for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the area marked as 96PQ+JVV, Manga'asi. Look for signs indicating Chief Roi Mata’s Domain. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in Port Vila. Look for buses heading towards the east side of the island that make stops in the direction of Manga'asi. The fare should be around 500 Vanuatu Vatu (approximately $4.50 USD). Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Manga'asi. From there, you may need to walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the site at 96PQ+JVV. Make sure to confirm with locals for the best walking route.
Taxi
Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from Port Vila. This option will be more expensive, typically costing around 3000 to 4000 Vanuatu Vatu (approximately $27 to $36 USD) for a one-way trip to Chief Roi Mata’s Domain. Provide the driver with the address 96PQ+JVV, Manga'asi. The ride should take approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you arrange for a return trip or inquire if the driver can wait for you.
