Car
If you have rented a car, start from the main village of Lenakel. Head southeast on the main road towards the Yasur Volcano. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the entrance to the Yasur Volcano area. Follow the signs to the Volcano View Tree House. The last stretch may involve unpaved roads, so drive carefully. The total travel time from Lenakel is about 45 minutes, depending on road conditions.
Public Transportation
To take public transportation, find a local bus or truck heading towards the Yasur Volcano. They usually depart from the main market area in Lenakel. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Yasur Volcano entrance. The fare is typically around 500 Vanuatu Vatu. Once you arrive at the entrance, you may need to hire a local taxi to take you to the Tree House. This taxi ride may cost an additional 1,000 Vanuatu Vatu and will take about 10-15 minutes.
Walking
If you prefer to walk and are staying close to the Yasur Volcano entrance, you can hike to the Tanna Volcano View Tree House. The walk is approximately 3 kilometers and will take about 40 minutes. Follow the dirt path leading toward the tree house, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the terrain may be uneven.
