Car
If you are driving a rental car in Tanna, head towards the main road leading to Port Vila. The drive will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Make sure to follow the signs towards Port Vila, and as you approach the city, look for Rue Dartois. The Vanuatu National Museum is located at 7838+WX7, Rue Dartois, Port Vila. There is generally parking available nearby the museum.
Public Transportation
To reach the Vanuatu National Museum using public transportation, look for a minibus heading to Port Vila from your location in Tanna. The fare should be around 300-500 Vanuatu Vatu. Once you arrive in Port Vila, ask the driver or locals for directions to Rue Dartois. The museum is within walking distance from the main bus stop in Port Vila. It’s advisable to check the minibus schedule as they may not run frequently.
Walking
If you are already in Port Vila and need to walk to the Vanuatu National Museum, start from the central market area. Head southwest on Rue de l'Indépendance towards Rue Dartois. The museum is located about a 15-minute walk from the market. Follow Rue de l'Indépendance until you reach Rue Dartois, then turn left. The museum will be on your right side.
