    If you are at the Apostolic Palace, exit the palace grounds and head towards the main street, Via della Conciliazione. Walk straight along this street until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once you cross, continue straight onto Via di Panico. After a short walk, you will reach Piazza Navona. From Piazza Navona, turn left onto Corso del Rinascimento and walk straight. This will lead you to Via Arenula. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Via dei Fienaroli. Turn right onto Via dei Fienaroli, and continue until you see a left turn onto Via di Santa Maria in Monticelli. Follow this road, and you will find yourself at the lovely Fontana delle Tartarughe in Piazza Mattei.

    From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop on Via della Conciliazione. Board bus line 64 towards Stazione Termini. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Argentina' stop. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk. Head towards Largo di Torre Argentina, then take Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Continue onto Via della Scrofa and then turn right onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Walk straight until you reach Piazza Mattei. The Fontana delle Tartarughe will be on your left in the piazza.
