Walking
Exit the Sistine Chapel and turn left towards the Vatican Museums exit. Follow the signs to the main exit. Once you exit the museum, you will find yourself in Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Turn right onto Via di Porta Angelica and continue until you reach the roundabout. Here, take the second exit onto Via di San Pietro. Keep walking straight, and you will cross the Tiber River. After crossing, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via dei Fori Imperiali. Turn left onto Via dei Fori Imperiali, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Lapis Niger.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Sistine Chapel, walk back to the Vatican Museums exit and head towards Viale Vaticano. Once there, look for the nearest bus stop. Take the bus number 81 or 87 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. Get off at the 'Fori Imperiali - Piazza Venezia' stop. From there, walk towards Via dei Fori Imperiali, and you will find Lapis Niger just a short walk away.

After visiting the Sistine Chapel, exit towards the Vatican Museums and head to the main exit. Once you are out, turn left and walk along the outside of the Vatican walls until you reach the intersection of Via della Conciliazione and Via dei Fori Imperiali. Turn right onto Via dei Fori Imperiali and continue walking straight. Lapis Niger will be ahead on your left side, just a few minutes walk.
