Getting There

    Exit the Sistine Chapel and head towards the main exit of the Vatican Museums. Once you are outside, you will find yourself in Viale Vaticano. From there, turn left and walk straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro. Cross the square towards the Vatican Basilica. After exploring the basilica, exit the square and continue walking straight until you reach Via della Conciliazione. Walk down this road until you reach the Tiber River. Turn right and follow the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Turn left and then take your first right onto Largo di Torre Argentina. From there, follow signs for the Colosseum, which will guide you towards Parco archeologico del Colosseo.

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit and walk to the Ottaviano Metro Station, which is about a 15-minute walk. Head north on Viale Vaticano, then turn left onto Via Ottaviano. Once you reach the Metro station, take Line A (the orange line) towards Anagnina. You will need to travel for four stops and get off at the Colosseo station. After exiting the Metro, follow the signs to the Colosseum. You will walk towards the main entrance of the Parco archeologico del Colosseo.
