    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once outside, turn left and walk towards the Vatican City walls. Continue walking along the wall until you reach the main square, Piazza San Pietro. From there, you can follow the signs to the Metro station Ottaviano, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Once at the station, take the Metro Line A towards Anagnina and get off at the Termini station (3 stops). At Termini, transfer to Metro Line B towards Laurentina and get off at the Colosseo station. From there, the entrance to Parco archeologico del Colosseo is a short walk, just follow the signs for the Colosseum.

    Walking

    Alternatively, you can walk directly to Parco archeologico del Colosseo. From the Sistine Chapel, exit and head towards the Vatican Museums entrance. Walk straight until you reach Via della Conciliazione, then cross the road. Continue straight on Via della Conciliazione until it intersects with Via del Teatro Pace. Turn right onto Via del Teatro Pace and follow it until you reach Piazza Navona. Continue straight through the square and follow Via di Santa Maria dell'Anima, which will lead you to Via dei Banchi Nuovi. Take a left onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Walk until you reach Largo di Torre Argentina, then turn right onto Via di Torre Argentina, which will lead you towards Via dei Fori Imperiali. Follow this road until you arrive at the Colosseum and Parco archeologico del Colosseo, which will be on your right.
