    From the Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel through the main entrance. Once you are outside, you will find yourself in the Vatican Museums area. Head straight towards the main exit of the Vatican Museums, which is the entrance to the Vatican Gardens. After you exit the museums, you will be in the Vatican City area. Continue straight towards the iconic St. Peter's Basilica, which will be directly ahead of you. As you approach the Basilica, keep an eye out for the large square in front of it, known as St. Peter's Square.
