Exit the Sistine Chapel through the main entrance. Once outside, turn right and walk towards the large open courtyard. Continue walking straight ahead, following the pathway that leads you towards the grand entrance of St. Peter's Basilica, which you will see ahead of you. As you approach the Basilica, you will notice the expansive St. Peter's Square (Piazza San Pietro) directly in front of you. Once you reach the square, the St. Peter Square Obelisk will be located in the center of the square. It's a large, ancient Egyptian obelisk standing tall, surrounded by fountains and with the Basilica as a stunning backdrop.
