From the Sistine Chapel, exit through the same entrance you entered. Once outside, head towards the left side of the Vatican Museums. You will see signs directing you to St. Peter's Basilica. Follow these signs as you walk through the Vatican Museums courtyard. Continue straight until you exit through the main exit of the Vatican Museums, which will lead you to the entrance of St. Peter's Square. As you step outside, you will find yourself in St. Peter's Square, Piazza San Pietro. The Tomb of Saint Peter is located beneath St. Peter’s Basilica, which is directly in front of you as you enter the square.

Once you reach St. Peter's Square, enter St. Peter's Basilica through the main entrance. Once inside, look for signs that direct visitors to the Vatican Necropolis. You will need to go down a series of stairs to reach the tomb area. The tomb is located directly beneath the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica, and you will be guided by staff or signs through the specific route to the Tomb of Saint Peter.
